Chongmaster Products TRADITIONAL PVC MUK YAN CHONG
The Traditional/Universal Muk Yan Chong is based on the model that GrandMaster Yip-Man introduced to this country. The formula used to create the chong was based on his height and measurements. With slight modifications, and using the same formula we re-created the original chong in PVC material. It's lightweight, easy to assemble, and costs about 80 percent less than a wooden chong. With minor care and responsible usage, this CMC product should last you a lifetime. (According to some, PVC has a shelf life of about 99 years!) Center = 6"inches.....Length = 5' feet..... Reinforced 1 1/4" arms = 12 inches each...... Reinforced 1 1/2" Leg Two, five foot poles are included with four metal "brake" pins. The arms and leg are reinforced so that the "hardcharger" of Kung-Fu won't be breaking them! Wooden Wall Mount and/or Wooden Brackets are not included. Must be purchased seperately.
Traditional PVC Muk Yan Chong: Cost $199.95 USD. Plus shipping and handling. (email me for s/h cost.)

The three arms and leg have been reinforced with additional PVC. They are twice as thick and will take twice the beating. As we all know from our teachings, it is not the strength behind our strikes and kicks on the Chong that we are trying to improve, but instead, simply trying to excel in our techniques in hands, arms, body and leg movements that we have learned. As time prevails, speed becomes most important in our teachings. Trying to break an object with our hands and feet is not practical or logical. As the great one might say if he were still with us,"PVC don't fight back!"

Each arm and leg is secured in the back of the Chong with an adjustable metal pin that slips through the PVC arm and through a metal flange that is bolted to the back of the Chong. These are fully assembled prior to your purchase. This allows the "Adjustable arms" of the Chong. You will have the choice of either 10" inch, 11" inch or 12" inch arms. All traditional Chongs come with 12" inch arms. However, all practitioners of Kung Fu have different length arms.
